Liljevalchs ”Vårsalong” 2013

A few weeks ago when I visited Stockholm I also went to Liljevalchs gallery at Djurgården to see their annual spring exhibition ”Vårsalongen”. I liked a lot of the exhibited artists this year, and these are some of my favorites. A lot of modern embroidery with a ”drawing” approach, that is inspiring.

The two embroideries above by Sassa Buregren. I think they are amazing! And the one below by Funny Livdotter. This one I saw again last week at the easter art show at Landskrona art gallery.

The embroidery above by Britta Johanson, on a paper map. And below a big lovely colorful art piece with small beads pearls by Shora Dehnavi Goldkuhl.

I always wanted to do a big model world and Kent Fernström didn´t just think about it, he did it! This is a model of ”Haga”, an area near my parents home that is long gone and replaced by much bigger houses.

I loved these drawings in graphite pencil by Fredrik Forslind. Of course I did! My photos don´t do them justice, they are quit big and very well made.
